The gap
In almost every public reputation failure, the interior sequence is identical: counsel and communications reach different conclusions in different rooms, and four hours pass before they are in the same document. By then, the canonical narrative has been written by someone else.
The coordination instrument closes that gap before the incident happens.

What the coordination establishes
-
STEP 01
Pre-agreed escalation pathwho calls whom, in what order, at what severity threshold.
-
STEP 02
Joint language registerphrases that hold under legal scrutiny and communications pressure simultaneously, pre-rehearsed.
-
STEP 03
Single sovereign documentcounsel and communications co-sign one canonical statement before it publishes; no independent drafts.
-
STEP 04
Privileged workspacesecured communications channel where counsel and communications resolve disagreements without creating discoverable artefacts.
SEC-03
Before the incident, not during
The coordination is installed before any incident, rehearsed against the scenario atlas, and maintained on a standing retainer. When the incident arrives, the rooms are already the same room.
We do not coordinate crises. We coordinate so that crises can be answered.
